Deci Connelly joined the VCC staff as Assistant Pastor in 2003 after a 20 year career in the hotel industry. Her current areas of responsibility, as Associate Pastor, include Community Awareness, Women's Ministry, Outreach Ministry (including Bread of Life, Assisted Living Ministries, and Missions) and she serves as Registrar for Southern California Christian College. In addition, she is a frequent speaker at women’s retreats and conferences, small groups and Bible studies. She developed the Becoming One Marriage Preparation series used in several west coast churches. Deci is a graduate of VCC’s Ministry and Leadership Training Program and holds Bachelor of Biblical Studies and Master of Ministry degrees from SCCC. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Religion from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. She is licensed and ordained by Victory Christian Ministerial Association. She and her husband, Todd, have been married 17 years and have been members of VCC since 1994. They make their home in La Quinta, CA.
About Rev. Peter and Matilda Burger Peter and Matilda Burger serve as Assistant Pastors with duties in the area of spiritual formation and foundations of faith. Peter is also an instructor at Southern California Christian College. The Burgers are graduates of the Charter Class of Rhema Bible Training Center in Johannesburg, South Africa and served as directors of Kenneth Copeland Ministries in that nation. Peter holds Bachelor of Biblical Studies and Master of Ministry degrees from SCCC. He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Religion from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. Peter is ordained by Rhema Bible Church in Johannesburg, South Africa, and International Church of the Word of Faith in Fort Worth, TX. Peter and Matilda have been married 49 years; have four children and two grandchildren. They reside in Rancho Mirage, CA.
