About Rev. Melissa Walker

Rev. Melissa Walker was born and raised in California. As a young girl, she sang with a Christian gospel group comprised of members of her family, who traveled throughout Southern California and ministered in various churches. She attended Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, OK, from 1980-1981 where she received ministerial credentials for licensure and ordination. Subsequent to her Rhema training, she completed the Summer program at New Life Bible College in Cleveland, TN.

The Walkers married in December, 1984, and they pastor Victory Christian Center, which celebrated twenty-five years of ministry in February of 2007. Melissa acted as Music Director for eighteen years and had oversight of all aspects of children's and women's ministries for nearly two decades. She led the launch of Victory Christian Schools and served as Executive Director of Victory Christian Preschool and Victory Christian Academy. In March, 2006, she accepted the challenge of taking the pastorate of one of the churches planted by the ministry, Victory Christian Center of Yucca Valley.

In addition to her pastoral duties, Melissa is the mother of three children, is a successful licensed realtor and has written dozens of worship songs. Melissa has ministered extensively at women's retreats and conferences as both speaker and worship leader.
